Staycation | The Fenway Hotel
Hey babes! I’m so excited to share another amazing staycation destination with you! The Fenway Hotel, located in Dunedin, FL.
Fenway Hotel is a classic must visit Gulf Coast hotel, known for embracing its music history past as reflected in their tagline of A Place Humming With Soul.
Did you know? The first radio station in Pinellas County broadcast from the third floor of the historic Fenway Hotel in 1925? Pretty cool, right?
Fenway Hotel is a sister property to Epicurean Hotel in Tampa Florida, about 30 minutes away.
I can’t get over how amazingly stocked the rooms are at the Fenway. From wine to chips to water and sweet treats. There’s a little something for everyone!
During my stay I had the pleasure of staying in their classic queen room. This room comes with 2 queen beds, sleeps up to 4 people.
All Fenway Hotel rooms are super comfortable, making you feel like you are right ‘at home’. I love that they have a branded plush robe waiting for you in the closet, fluffy duvet covers, marble showers with rainfall shower heads, coffee maker, microwave, and mini refrigerator.
Can’t forget their cool Fenway Amazon Echo device that’s available to you in the room, you can use the device to contact guest services, play music, set an alarm or order room service.
The golden accent and mosaic decor showcased in the bathroom is truly aesthetic and appealing. The mirror has full lighting for you, plus you have a smaller pull out mirror that you could use for applying makeup. It’s the little things… right ladies?!
How do I get there?
The Fenway Hotel is less than 25 miles from both Tampa and St. Pete/Clearwater airports and a short walk to downtown Dunedin.
Check out my Dunedin city guide to find out what you can do fun in the area.
Hotel guests wanting to explore the area, can leave their cars parked and catch a ride on the Clearwater Jolley Trolley—to Clearwater, Palm Harbor, and Tarpon Springs.
Not sure where to take your complimentary Fenway Hotel bicycle first? Why not take it for a spin along the waterfront, into Dunedin, and onto the 50 mile Pinellas Trail.
Hi fi Rooftop Bar
When you visit Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar be sure to order their ‘Fenway Sunset’ 🍷 It is super ‘insta worthy’ and soooo good! It comes with prohibition gin, elderflower, lemon & simple syrup. Yum! Thank me later.
The Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar at the Fenway Hotel once housed WGBH radio station back in 1925. Here is where you can enjoy delicious cocktails, local craft beers and carefully selected wines, while taking in the views of Caladesi and Honeymoon Islands. Cheers!
Please note ** Hi-Fi is strictly limited to guests who are 21 years or older.
HEW Parlor and Chophouse
HEW Parlor & Chophouse 🍴 is everything you can imagine! Excellent staff, amazing menu and drinks. They offer you a total experience when you dine.
Did you know that HEW was named the 8th best restaurant in the Marriott collection out of 106 hotel restaurants. That’s impressive!
For dinner I ordered the HEW Caesar salad, Cast iron-seared jumbo scallops, and a slice of chocolate cake to celebrate the occasion.
Fun fact, The name HEW honors the original architect of the Fenway Hotel, Herman Everett Wendell. ‘Hew’ also means to cut or chop, thus the name being HEW Parlor and Chophouse.
Overall I had an amazing stay! Loved the live music as the sunset, the mini shop in the lobby with the easy access bar and the cool Fenway bikes that you can rent to enjoy a bike ride around town!
Also note that The Fenway Hotel is a Marriott Hotel. If you have Bonvoy points, you can use your points to your advantage when booking your stay.
Who would you like to bring along for a fun vacation in Florida or for a nice staycation as a local?
I stayed at the Fenway Hotel as a hosted guest of the hotel, however the content shared in this blog post is carefully crafted with the So Southern Belle audience in mind. All thoughts are my own.
