In official terms, the Water Street Community in Tampa Bay is a “wellness-focused, waterfront community featuring residences, hotels, retail, restaurants, offices and public spaces.” It’s been under construction for 4 years and is finally seeing its long string of grand openings, officially welcoming the community into the final (beautiful) product.
The plan was quite genius; its creators envisioned a 56-acre, sustainable, waterfront community connected by pedestrian-only walks and green belts. Downtown Tampa has grown twice its size since construction for Water Street began, and right now, you can find luxury apartments and hotels, boutique fitness studios, high-end shops, restaurants, coffee shops and bars scattered along the waterfront.
