Where to staycation in Midtown | Aloft Hotel
Hi babes you know I love a good staycation! Exploring and enjoying your town is not only fun but a chance to live and learn all at the same time!
I remember moving to Tampa Bay and watching the city grow right before my eyes and here I am almost 2 + years later and the growth continues!
Have you been to Tampa’s midtown? It’s the place to be! Offering residences, retail and dining spaces, entertainment, and hospitality!
Here’s a look at where to stay and play in Midtown, whether you’re visiting town for fun or looking for a staycation.
From Sephora to Whole Foods there’s plenty of places to choose from when in Midtown. See the full list here.

How do I get there?
Tampa Union Station is a short 15 min walk away and Tampa Intl. Airport (TPA) is a short 10 min drive.
The rooftop Sal Y Mar Lounge is a MUST when you visit Tampa Bay. If you’re staying at the hotel you can easily take the elevator from your room to the top floor and enjoy 360-degree views of the Tampa, Westshore, and St. Petersburg skylines.
If you’re not a hotel guest, I would highly recommend securing a reservation to get in, you can do so here.
You have to stop by the WXYZ Bar and grab a drink with friends! It’s the perfect spot to sip on a craft cocktail or your favorite wine! Not to mention, you can order bar bites; they have everything from flatbreads to chips & salsa to loaded tots! Yum, yes please!
Order their ‘Espresso Martini’ and thank me later *wink*
Final thoughts ...
Overall I had an amazing staycation at the Aloft hotel. I genuinely enjoy my time at the hotel, the staff was super helpful and polite, the room and dining options are top tier and you can’t be the location. You are truly in the heart of the city!
